Manuel Esquibel
Manuel Esquibel has served as the City Manager for the city of Brighton since 2009. He has over 38 years of experience in local government, holding executive positions throughout the majority of his career. Mr. Esquibel has served as City Administrator and City Manager in three states: Colorado, Kansas and California. His experience has provided him a well-balanced understanding of public policy and finance in the operation and management of local government.
As City Manager, Mr. Esquibel leads the areas of economic development and redevelopment for the city. Before this post, Mr. Esquibel was the Assistant City Manager for the city from 2001 to 2009.
Mr. Esquibel graduated from the University of Southern Colorado with a B.S. in Behavior Science, and attended graduate school at the University of California Santa Barbara for Public Administration.
